Cookies on the San Rafael guide

This San Rafael guide stores no cookies of its own. Here is what Booking.com and CJ may set when you use a booking link, and how to stop it.

You can read about river pools, buses and San Rafael weather without this site leaving anything in your browser. Any cookie you might get comes from an outside company, and only at specific moments.

What this site does

No visitor counters, no user accounts and no ads that follow you around. The pages are plain static files; the web host may run technical safeguards against attacks, without building a profile of you.

When Booking.com and CJ step in

It happens in two situations. One: you click "See prices on Booking" or submit the date search. That click is routed through a CJ Affiliate redirect domain (dpbolvw.net or tkqlhce.com, for example) before Booking.com opens, and either company can drop a cookie noting that this guide sent you. Two: a page shows a Booking.com banner, and the image carries a tiny CJ pixel that records the ad was displayed.

Each company describes its own practices: Booking.com on cookies and CJ services privacy notice.

Rather avoid them?

Open the site in a private window, or switch on third party cookie blocking in your browser. Everything keeps working: the guides read the same and Booking.com still opens. The only loss is that any commission stops being recorded for this project.
